Hi, I’m Linda. Navigating your way through life can feel hard at times; Not knowing where to turn can leave you feeling anxious and alone. Climbing the mountain seems like an impossible task. But, you’ve already found the courage and strength to start the process.

As a compassionate counsellor, I understand that anxiety weighs you down and that life can be challenging. These challenges can affect your everyday life, your emotional and physical well-being can be greatly impacted.

Our emotions are impacted by life events, such as bereavement, abuse, relationship break-ups, trauma, illness, adverse childhood experiences, abuse, family breakdowns, work, or stresses of everyday life.

Feeling anxious can trigger many emotions. These emotions may cause feelings of guilt, anger, depression, hopelessness, and confusion which can have a huge effect on your self-esteem and confidence. The negative effects of this can feel like we are carrying a heavy weight on our shoulders.

I understand because I have also overcome some difficult and painful obstacles along the way and it felt so hard to see the ‘wood for the trees’. My anxiety and self-esteem had been rocked, which in turn, affected my overall sense of well-being. It was because of these life events, that I decided to retrain and become a counsellor.

Talking things through can help you find direction, with a renewed sense of clarity, and enjoying life becomes possible once more. My goal is to support you through that process in a non-judgmental way. I will listen to your story with warmth and understanding in a confidential calm space, and together we can discover new ways for you to manage your emotions with a clearer and more positive mindset.

Trusting someone new can feel scary, but, together we can build a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable talking to me about what’s happening in your life at a pace that feels right for you. I understand trust takes time to build, and I will not press you to discuss anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or, that you feel is too painful to share. I work with stress, anxiety, abuse, trauma, depression, bereavement, helping people come to terms with loved one’s illnesses and terminal diagnoses, low self-esteem/self-confidence, and relationship difficulties. Or, if you just feel you need someone to talk to when things seem difficult to understand.

I offer one-hour face-to-face sessions at my practice in Medway, as well as one-hour online Zoom sessions. I also offer home visits if you cannot access face-to-face or an online platform. (This would be dependent on location, distance, and needs).
